Health & Safety is a big consideration in the working environment, and in the construction industry, it becomes even more important due to the nature of construction works.

Approximately 2.3million working days are lost in the construction industry every year through work related injuries and ill-health. This could have a knock-on effect on your project, because lost working days result in delays to completion and additional costs being incurred. However, embracing Health & Safety not only prevents accidents, incidents and ill-health, but it also keeps your project on track and profitable while safeguarding the well-being of those affected by it.

There are many rules and regulations around Health & Safety in the construction industry, and it can be hard to keep up with all of the changes as they happen. Blue Elephant can act as your Principle Designer (under the Construction (Design & Management) (CDM) Regulations 2015), to manage all the Health & Safety aspects of your project, from co-ordinating the Health & Safety Plan, to ensuring compliance with the Construction Phase Plan once works commence.
